This genuine natural Australian opal was mined about 12 years ago by our company on the opal fields of Coober Pedy (16 Mile Creek field).
It has been set in solid 14 karat gold with a Queensland opal boulder ironstone backing (inlaid doublet) here at Star Mountain Gems Australia.

This superb quality opal is valued at $900 per carat. (Around 1.4 carat gem opal weight.)
