This genuine, quality Australian opal pendant has been inlaid with a stunning Coober Pedy (East Pacific field) opal on a Queensland opal boulder backing (inlaid doublet) in a solid 14 karat gold setting with a genuine 3 point diamond.
Probably the largest single flawless piece we have ever set and certainly an absolute show stopper.
In the same family of opal (classic Coober Pedy white / red opal verticals) as seen in the famous ‘Fire Of Australia’ heritage opal now on display at the South Australian Museum. This piece was mined by our family company on the 4 Mile East Pacific field just a few kilometeres from where the aforementioned museum piece was found.
This quality opal is valued at $375 per carat. There are around 14 carats of opal inlaid in this piece.
